A site is any place you care about: a port, a facility, a district, a stretch of border. You define it by drawing a boundary on the map. Everything GEOSY learns about that place attaches to its site, building a living history over time.
Layers are the kinds of information you can switch on over the map: satellite imagery, vessel positions, aircraft tracks, land records, infrastructure and public events. Stack the layers you need; hide the ones you do not. Your view, your choice.
A detection is the AI noticing something: a new structure, cleared land, a vessel arriving, an unusual pattern. Every detection carries a confidence score, a timestamp and the evidence behind it, so you can always check the AI's work yourself.
An alert is a rule that turns detections into action: when this kind of thing happens at this site, tell these people in this channel. Alerts are how GEOSY works for you while you are doing something else.
A case is a shared investigation workspace. Pin sites, detections, vessels and notes onto one canvas, link them together, and export the whole story as a structured report when you are done.
Sites define where you look. Layers define what you see. Detections are what the AI finds. Alerts make sure you hear about it. Cases are where your team makes sense of it all. That is the entire mental model.
